The mighty Mekong Delta:
The Mekong is 4,500 kilometers long, making it one of the longest rivers in the world. The “River of 9 Dragons”, as the Mekong is called in the Vietnamese language, rises in the Tibetan plateau, runs majestically through China, forms the natural border with Burma, Laos and Thailand, flows through Cambodia and flows into Vietnam the China Sea. The delta region is an extremely fertile and very densely populated area. Almost half of the land is used for landscape purposes.

Day 01: Arrival in Saigon. Day at leisure.
You will be picked up in Saigon with your name tag. Transfer to the booked hotel.


Day 02: Saigon city tour and Cu Chi tunnel - German speaking tour guide.
In the morning we drive to the Cu Chi tunnels, 70 km from Ho Chi Minh. During the Vietnam War, the Viet Cong built a 200 km long and up to 40 m deep tunnel system that served as a strategic base, command center, but also as a medical station and living area. Of course, this tunnel system was attacked daily by the Americans.
In the afternoon you will visit the Presidential Palace in Saigon, make a photo stop at the Notre Dame Church and visit the old main post office. Relics of the French colonial period. Afterwards, visit the scenic Ben Thanh Central Market and the Thien Hau Temple (“Temple of the Sea Goddess”). Overnight in Saigon.


 
Day 03: UNFORGETTABLE PANORAMA RIVER CRUISE to the Mekong Delta. F.M.A. In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Saigon. Around midday you board your cruise boat and make yourself comfortable in your cabin. Enjoy lunch as the ship sets sail. Sit back and enjoy the fantastic impressions - the lush jungle, small canals, the diverse everyday life of the people in the Mekong Delta. Walk through orchards or rice fields. Watch the friendly locals make sweets and build boats. End the day with a drink at the bar as the sun sets over the magnificent Mekong water landscape. You will spend the night on board your floating hotel in the middle of the Mekong Delta.

Day 4: Mekong Cruise to the Floating Market. F - Brunch.
Visit the 'Floating Market'. Flight Can Tho – Phu Quoc.
The next day your cruise ship leaves at sunrise. Watch the Mekong Delta come back to life. Unforgettable leisurely drive through the Mekong Delta to Cai Rang or Cai Be. You switch to a sampan. Here you can experience authentic life in Vietnam in the densely populated Mekong Delta. There is a lot of activity on the water itself, rice barges, ferries and boats are everywhere. On the banks you can see many orchards, lush green vegetable gardens, lush fruit groves, colorful flower gardens. Note: The floating markets in the Mekong Delta are not tourist markets but wholesale markets where fruits and vegetables from the Mekong Delta are sold. In the afternoon we will take you to Saigon, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Go on a (shopping) stroll in the impressive metropolis of millions. Flight from Can Tho to Phu Quoc. Transfer to the booked hotel.



Day 5 – 12: Beach vacation in Phu Quoc. 8 nights with breakfast

Dream island of Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc, the largest Vietnamese island, is located in the Thai Sea, close to Cambodia. 70,000 inhabitants live on the 50 km long and 3-30 km wide island, which is still relatively untouched by international tourism and is considered a real insider tip. Here you can still experience the real Vietnam. Nevertheless, there are already a few hotels on the island with up to first class accommodation. Phu Quoc is a true paradise for nature lovers: dense, tropical jungle (up to 600 m high), coconut palms, fruit and pepper plantations and endless, untouched dream beaches.




Day 5 – 12: Beach vacation in Phu Quoc. 8 nights with breakfast
 
Day 13: Transfer to the airport.
