The cosmopolitan city of Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, presents itself in a new look. Until 1975, Ho Chi Minh City was called Saigon, a name that is still used. Saigon has 7.5 million inhabitants. Life takes place mainly on the streets, in the center by the river and China Town Cholon, which means “big market”. While a short time ago bicycles and rickshaws dominated the street scene, you can now see modern high-rise buildings, mopeds, cars, new hotel buildings, great shops and residential buildings. Day 01: Arrival in Saigon. Day at leisure. You will be picked up in Saigon with your name tag. Transfer to the booked hotel.
 
Day 02: Saigon city tour and Cu Chi tunnel - German speaking tour guide. In the morning we drive to the Cu Chi tunnels, 70 km from Ho Chi Minh. During the Vietnam War, the Viet Cong built a 200 km long and up to 40 m deep tunnel system that served as a strategic base, command center, but also as a medical station and living area. Of course, this tunnel system was attacked daily by the Americans. In the afternoon you will visit the Presidential Palace in Saigon, make a photo stop at the Notre Dame Church and visit the old main post office. Relics of the French colonial period. Afterwards, visit the scenic Ben Thanh Central Market and the Thien Hau Temple (“Temple of the Sea Goddess”). Overnight in Saigon.
 
Day 03: Saigon – at leisure. Take a (shopping) stroll in the impressive metropolis of millions. Overnight in Saigon.
 
Day 04: Free morning. Transfer to the airport.
