Shortly before sunset, the world-famous golden Shwedagon Pagoda, set with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, shines and is a true treasure chest. A single fascination! Although the exact year of construction is not known, it is known that this pagoda, which houses the relics of Buddha, was already known in the 11th century. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 03: Morning flight Yangon - Bagan.
Flight: Yangon – Bagan – 0700/0820. 1 ½ hour flight from Yangon to Bagan. Transfer to the booked hotel. The magnificent pagodas of Bagan.
Bagan – a rarely beautiful and extremely impressive city; truly littered with over 2000 magnificent pagodas and temple complexes. It's a question of time as to how long you can still experience and enjoy this city in peace, undisturbed by any tourist hustle and bustle. Anyone who has seen Bagan is simply overwhelmed. The full-day visit to Bagan, which was founded as the first capital of the Burmese in the 11th century, is a highlight of this exquisite and demanding tour. Pure culture! Of the countless pagodas and temple ruins that adorn this city, we will show you only the most beautiful prototypes - in detail and at your leisure. First, visit Shwezigon Pagoda, the only ancient and real gold pagoda in Bagan, built under the great King Kyanzittha; then hike by flashlight through Kyanzittha Umin, a cave monastery with the oldest wall paintings in the country. After lunch, the day tour continues with temples and pagodas in the southern region of Bagan.
You will experience the sunset on the platform of a pagoda - and you will also be amazed by the sight of the 1000-year-old temples and pagodas in reddish brick and white plaster on the wide plain of Bagan.

Day 04: Flight Bagan – Mandalay 07:35/08:10) - The “Golden City” Mandalay. In the morning we begin with a detailed sightseeing program in Mandalay. We take you to the teak gold monastery of Shwe Nandaw, the only structure that still exists today out of more than 100 buildings that once formed the palace complex of the Konbaung kings, a palace that is known as classified as a “wonder of the world” - and which burned during the Second World War. Then stroll to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the “Largest Book on Earth” because of the 729 marble tablets on which the entire Buddhist canon was carved on the occasion of the 5th Buddhist Council. And then marvel at the dimensions of the huge marble Buddha. Visit the Mahamuni Temple with the famous Arakan (Mahamuni) Buddha made of pure gold and browse the shops around this temple for old and new treasures. Finally, we recommend the active visitors to climb the Mandalay Hill (man but you can also drive by car and the last part by lift). Mandalay - Amarapura - U - Bein Bridge - Sagaing.
In the afternoon we visit Amarapura (a name in Sanskrit that means "beautiful city") with its temples and pagodas. There you can also walk across the U Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world, built 200 years ago (the evening atmosphere is particularly beautiful at sunset). You then drive over the Ava Bridge to Sagaing, whose charm actually lies more in its panoramic view - there are 735 monasteries and 8,000 monks in Sagaing. Return to Mandalay.
