We take the Skytrain over the roofs of the city of 12 million, take some stretches in the local tuk tuk and take a long ride on a “James Bond” boat along the Chao Phya River and into the tributaries, where you can see the people live by the water. On the full-day Bangkok Special city tour, we first visit the Erewan Shrine, where the people of Bangkok ask for good luck. At the center of this shrine is a Hindu Buddha figure facing four sides. We also see temple dancers accompanied by original gamelan music (not a tourist spot). A walk in China Town, the living and working area for the Chinese population in Bangkok, is unique. The focus of this tour is of course the Wat Phra Kaew, with the temple of the highly revered “Emerald Buddha” and the royal palace.
