After the tour, you can plan an extension for a swim at the Thai Gulf. The drive to Sihanukville takes about 3 hours, the roads are in good condition. Sihanoukville is an up-and-coming seaside resort (approx. 250,000 inhabitants) and is located about 250 km south of Phnom Penh on the “Gulf of Siam”. It offers beautiful sandy beaches with crystal-clear water that are rarely visited by tourists. You can't expect infrastructure. Many small islands can be reached by boat. Sihanoukville is suitable for a few relaxing days of swimming after a cultural tour in Cambodia. In the 3-star range, we recommend the inexpensive Hotel Golden Sand with a large swimming pool (approx. 300 m from Ochheuteal Beach or the 5* Hotel Sokha Beach Resort, which Located directly on the well-kept beach.
