Day 01: Arrival in Kuching.
You will be picked up from the airport. Drive to your centrally located 5* Hotel Harbor View. The rest of the day can be used as freetime.
Day 02: Annah Rais Longhaus & City tour. F. After breakfast at 8:30 a.m. your tour guide will pick you up. 75 km from the city the drive goes through a picturesque landscape. We come to a typical longhouse in which 120 families live. There we observe the natives doing their daily handicrafts (weaving baskets and mats, handicrafts). We walk over a rustic suspension bridge to another part of the nave. Then we go on a detailed sightseeing tour. Right at the beginning we see the huge cat statues, the city's mascots, visit the Tua Pek Kong Temple (1876), drive to the Civic Center, where we have an excellent view of the city from the tower. The route runs past St. Joseph Cathedrale, the Syariha Court (Muslim) to the city's traditional Malay stilt houses. Before returning to the hotel, we drive to the Waterfront Esplanade, past the former palace of the White Rajah, where there are unique photo opportunities.
Day 03: Bako National Park. F.M.A. 07:30: 1-hour drive to Bako Fisherman Village, passing through the mangrove forest along the unique Nipah Palms (Palm Mangrove). 30 min boat ride. Check in at the Park Pension. After lunch, we trek through the mangrove forest on the fiddler crab mud plateau, see monitor lizards, macaques, observe proboscis monkeys and see some wonders of nature, such as species of carnivorous pitcher plants. Return to the guesthouse. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04: Morning bird watching – hike through the rainforest – return to Kuching. F.M. We set off early in the morning to watch birds in Telok Assam Bay. Back to breakfast.
Then we hike through the rainforest filled with monstrous trees, observing birds and other wild animals that live there. Return by ship to Baku, where we have lunch. Return to Kuching. Harbor View Hotel.
Day 05: Flight: Kuching – Kota Kinabalu. F
Transfer to the airport Flight to Kota Kinabalu currently 1:40 p.m. - 3:05 p.m.
Transfer to the 4* The Palace Hotel.
Day 06: Dream Islands - Manukan Island & Sapi Island –
short tour of Kota Kinabalu (B.M.) In the morning (8:30 a.m.) we drive to the pier and take a boat trip to Manukan Island, which we reach in about 15 minutes. After a short stay on the island we drive to the nearby Sapi Island. An island paradise surrounded by tropical greenery and clear turquoise sea! A sumptuous lunch is served on the beach. Afterwards you have free time. Relax on the white sandy beach, go swimming or snorkel among the corals. At 3:00 p.m. we go back to Kota Kinabalu, casually called “K.K”. called. K.K is the state capital of Sabbah with around 200,000 inhabitants. A modern city with excellent infrastructure, modern buildings, excellent hotels.
Day 07: Kinabalu Park & hot springs (F.M.)
Today we take a nice trip to Kinabalu Park. After breakfast we drive about 2.5 hours to Mountain Park.
The rainforest in Borneo is the oldest rainforest in the world! A trip to the rainforest is a "MUST" in Borneo; we also recommend a trip to Kinabalu Park, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. There are several thousand different animal and plant species in the park, such as 326 bird and 100 mammal species. We go on a hike along the nature trails with a Mountain Park nature guide. We have lunch at a local restaurant. After about an hour of driving we come to the hot springs. Poring Hot Spring, named after the tall bamboo plant that abounds in the area, is a natural spring from which hot sulfurous water wells up from the ground. You can take a bath in the Japanese baths. At the Botanical Garden we go on a canopy walk, which is a unique experience. At a length of 160 meters and a height of 41 meters, you walk over (secured) suspension bridges at treetop level through the lowland rainforest. The view from the suspension bridges is breathtaking. Return trip to K.K. to the hotel.
Day 08: Sandakan – Sepilog – Orangutan Rehabilitation Center - Jungle Resort. (F.M.A.)
Morning transfer to the airport. 45 minute flight to Sandakan. Drive to Sepilog Orangutan Center. Short path through the dense jungle, then you reach the platform where you can witness the orangutan feeding. In the Rehabilitation Center you will learn interesting facts about the orangutans. Overnight at Sepilog Jungle Resort.
Day 09: Rainforest Discovery Center – Canopy Walk. (F.M.A.)
The Rainforest Discovery Center is located in the well-known Kabili-Sepilog Reserve. From there we walk on a 147 m long suspension bridge that is 28 m above ground. From there you have a spectacular view of the jungle giants, such as Mengaris trees, which are one of the tallest trees. Bird watchers will be fascinated by this place. The strangest birds are found there, such as the Borneo bristlehead, and another 250 different species of birds, such as hornbills, broadbills, pittas and kingfishers. Overnight at Sepilog Jungle Resort.
Day 10: Gomantong Caves, Binabantagn river trip. (F.M.A.)
At 9 a.m. we depart from our lodge, after 2.5 hours we reach the Gomantong Caves, the largest limestone and bird's nest cave in Sabah, where millions of swiftlets nest. We continue to Bilit on the Kinabatangan River, home to 10 different species of monkeys, 8 species of hornbills, mangrove snakes, vipers, saltwater crocodiles, Asian elephants and many other wild animals.
After a short briefing by the naturalist guide, we will take an afternoon cruise along the Kinabatangan River (the longest river in Sabah - 560 km), where we can observe wildlife on the boat with the naturalist guide. Dinner & Overnight at Bilit Adventure Lodge.
Day 11: Boat transfer to Lankayan. (F.M.A.)
Lankayan is a true dream! You almost can't believe it when you see the island when you arrive... these colors can hardly be reproduced in photos or videos! And the underwater world with turtles and colorful reefs is indescribably beautiful. Overnight in Lankayan.
Day 12: Lankayan Island. (F.M.A.)

Day 15: Lankayan Jetty to the airport. Flight to Kuala Lumpur.
