Cambodia experienced many wars, particularly the Pol Pot battles (1975-79) that left terrible marks. Today the country has been rebuilt, the form of government is a constitutional monarchy, Cambodia is led by Prime Minister Hun Sen to the satisfaction of the population, and tourists are warmly welcomed. The focus of our excursions is of course a detailed visit to Angkor Wat, the seat of the gods, the religious center and the administrative center of the great Khmer Empire. The gigantic buildings around Angkor (9th - 12th centuries), which are counted among the wonders of the world, are the most spectacular architectural monuments ever created by the human spirit. What was a dream for art lovers just a few years ago is now Reality.
